mta automation is conveniently located about one mile from Amtrak’s Old Saybrook Station.  It is easy to access Amtrak from Penn Station in NYC, and there is a train from Newark Airport (EWR) to Penn Station.  You can also take Amtrak from Boston, but you will need to organize transportation from Boston Logan (BOS) to South Station.  Please let us know when you will arrive, and we will pick you up at the station.

Hartford Bradley Airport (BDL) and Providence Airport (PVD) are both about 1 hour from mta automation. These are smaller airports and will normally require a connecting flight unless traveling from a hub airport.

Boston Logan Airport (BOS) is about 2 hours by car, but the Boston traffic can create long delays, so allow additional time. As an alternative to driving, you can take Amtrak from South Station in Boston

Newark Airport (EWR) is further by car, but there is a train station directly in the airport with only one connection at Penn Station in NYC.  The Old Saybrook Station is very close to mta automation.

Saybrook Point Inn

A luxury resort hotel located where the Connecticut River meets the Long Island Sound.  This hotel fills quickly during the Summer and Fall vacation seasons, so we recommend booking in advance.  For booking, please find the Saybrook Point Inn website here, and be sure to request mta automation’s discounted rate.

Alternately, there is a wide selection of popular chain hotels about 20 min east of Old Saybrook in Groton, CT.
